State Facilitated Development Approval Secured for Woodvale Village
We’re pleased to announce the approval of Woodvale Village, a new masterplanned residential community in Forest Lake that will deliver 151 new homes to one of Brisbane’s established and highly sought-after south-western suburbs.
The development was approved through the Queensland Government’s State Facilitated Development (SFD) pathway, a streamlined planning process established to help accelerate the delivery of well-located housing across Queensland. The Woodvale Crescent proposal was formally declared a State Facilitated Development in September 2024, with the development application subsequently approved by the Queensland Government in June 2025.
Woodvale Village is an important example of how innovative planning pathways and government support can unlock well-located infill development.
The project also received support through the Incentivising Infill Development Fund (IIDF), helping to offset infrastructure costs and accelerate delivery. Together, the SFD pathway and IIDF funding brought the project forward by approximately 18 months, allowing much-needed housing supply to reach the Forest Lake market sooner.
The masterplanned community will provide a diverse mix of housing, including three- and four-bedroom homes and terrace-style residences, with a focus on delivering greater choice for first home buyers and families.
The design incorporates tree-lined streets, green corridors, communal open spaces and pedestrian-friendly connections, creating a neighbourhood that prioritises community, connectivity and everyday liveability.
Woodvale Village is also positioned close to Forest Lake’s established schools, childcare, parks, retail, dining and public transport, providing residents with convenient access to the amenities of an established community.
Following the approval milestone, construction will commence in February 2026, marking the next chapter in the delivery of Woodvale Village.
